So, I definitely do not have the most desirable brows in the world…but after years of plucking and growing out I am finally happy with them. I know I love watching how people perfect their brows so I thought I would share that today.
This post is going to be about how I do my eyebrow makeup, with regards to shaping my brows I get the HD brow treatment at my local beauticians- let me know if you would like a blog post on this.
Before and After
I always draw a rough shape of where I want my brows to start, arch and finish. This is something I definitely regret not doing in the past, I always stuck with where my brow hair was growing naturally. But I find that it is flattering to extend the brow slightly to fit my face shape better.
To draw the guidelines I use the NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Espresso.
Step 2…filling in
Now the obvious part, filling in the gaps. I switch between different products to do this, but today I have used a brow powder from The Body Shop (Shade 02). I use a shade just slightly lighter that the pencil to do this so it’s not so harsh. I then go back in with my pencil to create hair-like strokes.
Again, another step I never used to do but it definitely makes a big difference. I take a concealer and an angled brush to draw around the shape of the brow and neaten it up a bit. This not only makes the brows neater but also makes them pop. Today I used Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define (shade C3)- I have a separate review of this if you are interested!
Then it’s time to set the brows, this helps them stay in place. If I don’t do this I find throughout the day my brow hairs do whatever the like! I have two products for this, today I used NYX Control Freak Eyebrow Gel. But If I’m going for extra hold I use Pear Soap! I learnt this trick from PixiWoo, it really makes your brows stick in place.
And there you have it…
Hope you enjoyed this brow routine, if you have any favourite brow products let me know!
