Maybelline Brow Tattoo

Today I will be reviewing the Maybelline Brow Tattoo Lasting Eyebrow Tint. As soon as this came out I had to give it a go, the idea you can ‘tattoo’ your brows at home for £12.99 seemed amazing.

However, I have to say the word tattoo is slightly misleading- but we will come onto that. The product is a gel, it comes with a brush to apply. At first this is a bit fiddly but after using it for a few weeks I have found a knack to it. You can use your own brush, however, I find this doesn’t create the thick layer you need to be able to peel the product off.

You are then left with crazy dark eyebrows whilst you wait for the magic to happen. The first time I used this I was really scared so I left it on for the minimum amount of time. But now I am more comfortable and know the results I leave it on for 40 minutes- 1 hour if I can.

Then it’s time for the messy part. In an ideal world you could simply pick at the front of your eyebrow and the whole thing would come off in one sweep. It’s not as easy as this, I find I need to peal it off in several areas and run through my brows with a brush to get the rest of the product out. However, once you have done this you are left with a lovely tint and brow shape.

Now back to the word ‘tattoo’, I find the product lasts a couple of days but nothing extreme. It’s nice if you don’t want to spend as much time on your brows in the morning, but I do find the product isn’t as intense as I like my brows so I still shape them a little with a pencil. That being said, I do like this product and I think it’s great you can get something like this from the drugstore. I think I will get the most use out of this product when I’m on holiday, it’s great to have your brows looking filled in when you wake up.

Hope you enjoyed this review, if you have tried this product let me know your thoughts.
